Mr.George Johnston, Begghead, Long Corvey, Cumberland

Jamaica, Portland 14th May 1824

I am sorry it falls to my lot to acquaint you of the death of your two sons Mr.George and Mr.Thomas Johnstone of this place – the former early in the latter on the 31st December. Mr.Thomas Johnston has left a will appointing Mr.Andrew Watson & myself as his executors and as soon as we can get his affairs arranged we shall make you acquainted therewith.

I am Sir your obedient servant
