Creation of Deacons: Thos.Graham, a literate person, entitled to perform the office of Assistant Curate of Cumwhitton in the County of Cumberland.

At an ordination held in the Chapel at Rose Castle in the County of Cumberland on Sunday 9 August (1789) the Right Reverend Father in God John Lord Bishop of Carlisle did duly & regularly admit the following persons into holy Orders, namely:

Thos.Graham (see above)
George Langhorn, a literate person, Entitled to serve the cure of Cliburn in the County of Westmorland.

LICENCES:

9 August 1789

Thomas Graham to perform the office of Assistant Curate of Cumwhitton in the County of Cumberland with a Stipend of 20 per an.
George Langhorn to serve the cure of Cliburn in the County of Westmorland with a Stipend of 20 pr.an.

All the Oaths being taken and all other matters and Things done & performed as by Law required before the Right Reverend John Lord Bishop of Carlisle previous to their being respectively licenced.
